The second in our Lunchtime concert series features 2nd Violin Section Leader, Hazel Correa. St. Sepulchre-without-Newgate near St. Paul's, is the largest parish church in the City of London. It has an important history dating back to 1137 and is a breathtaking venue for our forthcoming concerts.

We are proud to welcome our newly-named Quartet in Association to perform at our residency, St. Saviours Church, Pimlico. Members of the quartet have given concerts across the UK, Europe, China, Japan, Indonesia, Canada, and in 30 states across the USA, including a quartet residency at Syracuse University. In addition to performing the classical repertoire of Haydn, Beethoven, and Mozart, the ensemble also promotes the music of contemporary and emerging composers.

The Third in our Lunchtime Concert series features clarinet soloist, Alison Lambert. Alison performed the Nielsen Clarinet Concerto with us in 2008 and returns to the stage for this very special concert at St. Sepulchre's. It was at this Church that young Henry Wood learnt to play the organ before he went on to found the famous Promenade Concerts. When Sir Henry died in 1944 it was to the Musicians' Chapel that his ashes were brought. The organ at St. Sepulchre's has also been played by Handel, Mendelssohn and both Samuel Wesleys, father and son!

The NLSO is proud to welcome back to the stage, critically acclaimed cellist, Jamie Walton. Described by The Strad as "One of the true greats", Jamie will be perform the extremely well-loved Elgar Cello Concerto, the recent recording of which won him 5 star ratings in national and international press. We are also delighted to welcome a choir formed from Bow School , who will form part of a rare performance of John Barry's A Childhood Memory. With the vast soundscapes of Sibelius' Symphony No. 5, this concert will is sure to be a tremendous evening.
