The NLSO provides experience of the highest orchestral playing for young professional musicians.
We specialise in composers originating from countries where the Aurora Borealis can be seen, and forging international links with these countries.
Our Education Outreach programmes run in conjunction with our artistic season, and we integrate within local community providing musical education.
“Terrific Sound” - Thomas Ades 2012
“Awe-inspiring” - The Sibelius Society UK 2011
“One of the most enterprising new orchestras in London” - Rodney Slatford OBE
"I had a great time performing the Grieg Piano Concerto with the Northern Lights Symphony Orchestra in Cadogan Hall. I found the NLSO to be an extremely responsive orchestra, with fine solo playing, and Adam Johnson's direction was superb. The rest of the programme was well thought-out and adventurous, and it was a pleasure to be a part of their concert." - Richard Uttley 2011
